Otto Hofmann (16. marts 1896 – 31. december 1982) var en tysk militærmand, der i 1914 meldte sig til hæren og siden blev forfremmet til sekondløjtnant. Han flygtede fra russisk fangenskab og blev fra 1933 fuldtids SS-officer. Hofmann blev i 1943 udnævnt til kommandant for SS-Hovedsektor Sydvest, og senior SS- og politileder i Württemberg, Baden og Alsace. Han blev idømt 25 års fængsel for krigsforbrydelser og forbrydelser mod menneskeheden. I 1954 fik han amnesti og påbegyndte arbejde i en privat virksomhed frem til sin død i 1982.

MONDAY -- A.M. The stock market during the week was dull and irregular, active speculation being confined to a few of the industrials. The total transactions were 1,197,146 shares, and this amount included 554,911 shares of Tobacco, 153,237 of General Electric, and 51,595 of Sugar, so that the three specialties monopolized nearly 65 per cent. of the whole business.
SAMPHIRE WON THE RACE.; The Contest for Big Yachts De- clared Off.

CANNES, March 16. --The yacht races for the cups given by Ogden Goelet and James Gordon Bennett were sailed off this place to-day. One of these cups, valued at $1,600, was offered for yachts above twenty-rating, and the second, valued at $800, was for yachts under that rating. The course was the great triangular one, each leg to be sailed over three times -- a total distance of thirty miles.
