NBC Radio's News Syndicate To Commence Service June 18

NBC Radio's syndicated Natl News and Information Service is scheduled to begin June 18, providing subscribing stations with 50 mins of natl and world news every hr, leaving remaining time for local news coverage by stations themselves; service will call itself NIS Network; NYC outlet will be WNBC which will change its call sign to WNNS when it adopts new format; service in Washington will be carried on WRC, in San Francisco on KNBR and in Chicago on WMAQ; NBC pres Jack M Thayer says format will also be carried in Los Angeles but station has not yet been determined (M)
